Mt Macedon Primary School is a small community school which offers excellent opportunities for all students in a nurturing environment. Our team of skilled and highly qualified staff are dedicated to the full development of each child as an individual. The school has been the hub of the community for 150 years and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2008.
The architectually designed buildings are set in beautiful grounds on the southern slope of Mt Macedon, only ten minutes from Gisborne. A uniquely designed building replaced the original historic building after the Ash Wednesday bushfires in 1983. There are five permanent classrooms, 1 portable classroom, a large well stocked library and a versatile school community hall.
Our academic program has a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy with students consistently performing at high standards. An empathy with the natural environment is fostered by all programs at the school.
