It's our 150th Anniversary.
We have three key events to celebrate the milestone.
1. Friday 28th November 10:00am
Visit by the Minister of Education, Special Assembly and Children's activity day.
There will be a special assembly at 10:00am where the Minister for Education, Hon member Bronwyn Pike will cut a 150th cake, and open the time capsule from the 100th anniversary. A commemorative tree and plaque will be unveiled. Following the assembly there will be a morning tea held in the school Hall. The 150th Quilt will be displayed at morning tea. All current and past community members are invited to the assembly and morning tea.
2. Friday 28th November 7.00pm - 10:00pm
150th Birthday Evening Celebration - School Hall.
On Friday night 28th November we are having a Birthday celebration for the adults. Bring along any old photos or memorabilia to display on the night. There will be pin boards and tables where you can place your memorabilia on display. The contents of the 100th Anniversary time capsule will be on display. A light supper will be provided. Tea/Coffee and alcoholic drinks will be served. There will be commemorative bottles of wine for sale and a raffle. It's a night to catch up with present and past community members and view the memorabilia on display.
An open invitation in extended to current parents, former parents students or teachers. (You have to be over 18 to attend)
3. Saturday 29th November. 10:00am to 3:00pm.
150th School Fete and School Open Day.
This day is a chance to come inside and see the school and join in the fun of our Fete. An invitation is extended to young and old alike.
There will be displays and stalls in every room and outside as well. The Fete and open day is our major fundraiser for the school.
